Tyler Wagaman, a 33-year-old Greenwood man who was reported missing in June, was found dead after an apparent vehicle crash, his brother announced on social media July 28.
Wagaman and his black Ford F-150 pickup were last seen June 15, 2026. His vehicle and body were found in Gosport at the intersection of Indiana 67 and U.S. Route 231, his brother Brian “Wags” Wagaman, said.
Tyler Wagaman was traveling “a hundred miles an hour” toward the intersection when his pickup left the road and landed almost 300 feet into the woods, his brother said.
A man witnessed Tyler Wagaman’s pickup speeding close to the intersection about the time he went missing. After seeing posts about a Wagaman’s disappearance, the man called the police to report what he saw, his brother said. Tyler Wagaman’s phone last pinged in Gosport on June 17, 2026.
“All of us had searched that area,” Brian Wagaman said in a video shared to social media. “We had all been right there, but it was so bad and scattered that the big truck that we were looking for, we wouldn’t have seen it.”
Tyler Wagaman was still in the pickup, “fastened in,” his brother said. He suffered a traumatic head injury, and he “did not feel a thing,” Brian Wagaman said.
Brian Wagaman, a tow truck driver that built up a following online, thanked his audience for being there for his family.
“The unknowing was excruciating,” he said. “I’m thankful the answers came late rather than never.”
