Extended hours at New Rochelle beaches, pools, splash pads: How to beat the heat

With a heat advisory in effect through Wednesday, July 30 at 8 p.m., New Rochelle beaches and pools are a source of relief for many residents from this week’s toasty temperatures.

Glen Island Park Beach in New Rochelle will be open an extra hour through Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

The city of New Rochelle is also making sure that residents have options to cool off. Hudson Park Beach, Lincoln Park Pool and the city’s splash pads located at Anderson Plaza and Flowers City Park are available. Check out the city of New Rochelle’s website, newrochelleny.gov, for pool and splash pad hours and other details.

The city’s various cooling centers are also available for residents looking for ways to stay cool.  

City and county pool and beach admission and parking fees apply. Proof of residence is required to use Westchester County pools and beaches.
