Construction is scheduled to begin Friday, April 4, around Rochester City Hall, as part of a streetscape improvement project expected to be completed by fall 2025.
The work will include reconstruction of the sidewalk and curb, resurfacing of nearby roads, and replacement of trees around the building. Pedestrians will also see new street lighting, benches, bike racks and a bike shelter.
Construction will begin on North Fitzhugh and Church streets. Drivers should expect parking restrictions and are advised to use caution in the work zone.
