Back in May of 1982 athletes from around the Hudson Valley streamed into White Plains for the fourteenth annual Glenn D. Loucks Memorial Track & Field Meet.
According to the Loucks Games website, “The first running of the Glenn D. Loucks Memorial Track & Field Meet took place in May of 1968. Since then, the Loucks Games have grown from a boys-only, one-day event to one of the largest independent on-campus scholastic invitationals in the nation. Now, more than 3,000 young women and men compete each year at our elite, three-day meet, where we see some of the best performances in the country. Several Loucks competitors have gone on to compete in collegiate, national and Olympic track and field meets.”
