Army men’s basketball will host NCAA semifinalist Duke, plus George Washington and Manhattan among its six home games for its non-conference schedule in 2025-26. The Black Knights will travel to Marist on Nov. 21.
Duke will be making its first appearance at Christl Arena since 1997 on Tuesday, Nov. 11. The Blue Devils are famous for having former Army head coach and player Mike Krzyzewski as their head coach (1980-2022).
Regular-season champ Duke beat Louisville for the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference. The Blue Devils (35-4) beat Mount Saint Mary’s (MD); Baylor; Arizona; and, Alabama in the NCAA Div. I tournament before losing to Houston 70-67 in the semifinals.
George Washington lost to George Mason in the Atlantic 10 quarterfinals. The Revolutionaries participated in the College Basketball Crown postseason event and lost to Boise State.
Manhattan lost to Iona and Marist bowed to Mount Saint Mary’s, Md., in the Metro Atlantic quarterfinals.
The Patriot League schedule will be announced soon. Army will face champion and NCAA tourney team American, plus NIT participant Bucknell.
This will be the third season for Army head coach Kevin Kuwik – the Black Knights were 10-22 in 2023-24 and 17-16 in 2024-25, losing in the College Basketball Invitation quarterfinals to Florida Gulf Coast after beating Elon in the first round.
Like Army, Manhattan played in the CBI and lost in the first round.
