As the game rolled on, It just went from bad to worse.

With that, here is Jets Wire’s instant analysis of the Jets’ loss to the Patriots:

What went right?

As the score indicates, nothing.

One nod we can give is to running back Breece Hall. He surpassed the 1,000-yard plateau for the first time in his career thanks to his 111 rushing yards (plus a touchdown. On the year, Hall has 1,065 total rushing yards.

What went wrong?

Just… a mess. All eyes are on finding a franchise quarterback but the defense in New York is a mess. Patriots quarterback Drake Maye had five touchdowns, which was more than incomplete passes he threw (19-for-21).

In a word, embarrassing.

The clear takeaway on offense: Jets QB Brady Cook might not be cut out for the NFL… even as a backup.

What’s the bottom line?

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn is rightfully mad at the effort his team is putting on the field. He has not gotten a tune out of his team at all in recent weeks.

What’s next?

To roundout the 2025 season, the Jets do have a bit of a cool game. In Week 18, they’ll travel to face the Buffalo Bills (11-5) for a 4:25 p.m. kickoff. It will be the Bills’ final game played at the current Highmark Stadium before their new venue opens in 2026.
