New York Jets 2025 NFL training camp is underway and will be watched under a microscope each and every day.
Throughout practices, updates are shared during the workouts which make for intriguing and important notes. In terms of Day 4 of training camp, what stood out the most?
Here are three observations from the fourth day of Jets training camp:
Justin Fields returns to practice
It was good news for the Jets and their fans on Saturday as QB1 Justin Fields returned to action in a limited fashion after suffering a toe injury just a couple of days ago. While he wasn’t pressed back into full team drills, he still showed he was alright and made some good throws:
Armand Membou vs. Will McDonald IV
Jets first-round pick Armand Membou went toe-to-toe with Will McDonald IV, who is coming off of a 10.5-sack season. McDonald got the better of Membou, according to ESPN, as he got home for two sacks and displayed some impressive pass-rushing moves. It was a heavyweight bout between two of their most recent first-rounders and there will be plenty of competition to come in the future between the two. Here’s Membou’s thoughts on the matchup:
Rookie CB Azareye’h Thomas makes a splash
Jets’ third-round rookie Azareye’h Thomas came down with an interception on Day 4 of camp, intercepting quarterback Brady Cook during the 11-on-11 portion of practice. He read the route well, stepped in front of the receiver and made a difficult grab. Check out the play from the Florida State product:
