2026 NFL draft: Washington WR Denzel Boston met with Bills at combine

Buffalo is looking to improve its receiving corps, and met with Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston at the 2026 NFL combine in Indianapolis in the process, per Chat Sports.

The Bills have begun to overhaul the position group via trade and release, and will continue to look to the draft and free agency for potential fits.

A native of Puyallup, Washington, Boston has been one of the most productive pass catchers in the Pac-12/Big Ten during his time with the Huskies. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound wideout accumulated over 1,000 receiving yards and double-digit touchdowns during his career at Washington (11).

Boston especially stands out in his abilities against man coverage. According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), his 89.7 receiving grade against man coverage in 2025 was the best among all FBS wide receivers in this year’s draft class. 14 of his 20 career touchdowns also came against man coverage due to his ability to win one-on-one matchups.

The receiver’s combination of size, route-running, and hands projects him as a prototypical outside receiver in the NFL. He can win at all three levels of the field and was a consistent red-zone threat throughout college.

Even during his high school career at Emerald Ridge, Boston put up 105 receptions for 1,572 yards and 23 touchdowns over four varsity seasons, earning a four-star rating from ESPN in the process.

His ability to beat man coverage is particularly appealing for Buffalo, which has been in search of a receiver who can consistently win those matchups. Keon Coleman may fit that profile and prove himself to be that player. Still, Boston is also getting a look as the Bills consider all their potential options in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft.

The Washington talent is projected as a first or second-round selection. Buffalo’s trade of a second-round selection for receiver DJ Moore may forecast the team going after the best safety or defensive end available with their first pick, though receiver could still be in play as the front office is looking to improve the position group.
