After recording another WNBA milestone Friday night by becoming the first player in league history with a 45-point, 10-assist game, Caitlin Clark and the Fever welcome the New York Liberty (13-11) to Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday.
Although Clark was again on a minutes restriction, the former Hawkeye legend was on fire from the floor in Indiana’s (15-10) 110-107 win over the Seattle Storm (6-21). She shot 11 of 18 overall, including 6 of 10 from 3-point range. She went 17 of 19 at the free-throw line to go along with her 10 assists, four steals, two rebounds and two blocks in 29 minutes.
While the Fever’s defensive effort could clearly have been better, the team was without Aliyah Boston (lower left leg injury) on Friday night. The former South Carolina Gamecock should return Saturday night based on the Fever’s approach to back-to-back games.
