'Not an easy decision': Livonia sports bar announces closure

Time Out Bar & Grill will close its doors for good at the end of the month.

The neighborhood sports bar announced on Facebook that its last day of operation will be Friday, July 31, ending its run at 36480 Plymouth Road.

“After a great deal of thought, we have made the difficult decision to close Time Out Bar & Grill permanently,” the post states. “This was not an easy decision.”

At the bar July 17, theowner Tracy Enrigh said she wanted to focus on gratitude as she steps away from the business.

“I want to thank everyone for their two years at patronage, for coming in and giving us a shot,” said Enright, who bought Time Out from the previous owner in 2024. “All the regulars for coming back; we met a lot of really good people and we’re going to miss everyone.”

Enright said she will eventually plans to sell the business.

The social media announcement thanked customers, employees and regulars who supported the business, noting the restaurant was “much more than a bar and grill.”

“It has been a gathering place for friends, families, regulars, sports fans, employees, and plenty of people who came in for ‘just one drink’ and somehow stayed through the fourth quarter,” the post says.

The owners said they plan to remain open through the end of the month and invited patrons to stop in one last time.

“Between now and our final day, we plan to keep the grill hot, the drinks cold, and the good times rolling,” the post says. “There are still burgers to cook, wings to sauce, games to watch, and memories to make.”

It’s not clear exactly how long the business has been open, but minutes show the Livonia Planning Commission recommended approval in May 2010 for the business to seek a Class C liquor licence for the location.

The restaurant encouraged customers to visit during its final days to ” help us give this neighborhood bar the sendoff it deserves.”

“Thank you for every meal, every drink, every game, every laugh, and every memory,” the post says. “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of Time Out Bar & Grill.”
