As the Salt Lake City portion of the 2026 NBA Summer League play comes to a close, Iowa basketball fans are in for another exciting matchup as former Hawkeyes Bennett Stirtz, Payton Sandfort, and Josh Dix suit up tonight for the Oklahoma City Thunder against the Utah Jazz from the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
While Oklahoma City was defeated by the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night, 82-77, Sandfort was exceptional for the Thunder, recording a game-high 25 points on 6 of 10 shooting from the floor, 4 for 6 from 3-point land, and 4 of 4 at the free-throw line in just over 27 minutes. Stirtz also contributed nine points, three assists, and two rebounds, while Dix added two assists and one board.
