Caitlin Clark missed her second consecutive game with a back injury as the Indiana Fever rolled past the Las Vegas Aces, 84-68. It was Clark’s third contest missed due to injury this season.
After her latest absence, when might fans see the three-time WNBA All-Star return to the lineup?
Last Friday, Clark told reporters that she wouldn’t play on Sunday versus the Aces, but Clark was positive about the progress she’s made in her injury recovery and seemed optimistic that fans would see her return to action sometime this week.
“I will be out Sunday, but I’m feeling a lot better. Excited to get back into practice today, and then feeling really, really positive about getting back into one of the games in the back-to-back. Obviously, difficult coming back in a back-to-back, so we’ll have to be cautious of that, but I feel a lot better and, like I said, excited to get back into practice. This week has been very helpful for my overall health,” Clark told reporters last Friday.
Here’s a look at the Fever’s upcoming schedule:
Upcoming Indiana Fever schedule
Despite not having Clark in the lineup against the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday, the Fever improved to 12-8 on the year after another complete team effort, led by Kelsey Mitchell’s 27-point outing and Aliyah Boston’s sixth double-double of the campaign.
If Clark makes her return to the lineup on Wednesday night, she will do so against former Hawkeye teammate Kate Martin, who just inked a standard WNBA contract with the Los Angeles Sparks.
