Welcome to the next round of Iowa’s Cutest Cat contest! After more than 500 initial submissions and now six days of voting in the Round of 64, we have narrowed the field down to a bracket of 32 cute cats from all over the Hawkeye State. Things are really heating up!
Without further ado, let’s meet the kitties who advanced to the Round of 32.
Iowa’s Cutest Cat brackets
Let’s break down how we got here. For Round 1 of voting, we had over 500 cats submitted. We then broke all the cute cats down into 4 groups, with each group having its own poll to vote in. The top 12 vote-getters in each group automatically advanced to the Round of 64. We then took the top remaining 16 vote-getters across all groups to round our bracket out.
The final bracket here shows how voting played out in the Round of 64, and shows the matchups for this Round of 32. You can hover over each matchup below to get to know the cats better before voting. Keep scrolling down to get to our survey to vote.
How do I vote for Iowa’s Cutest Cat?
For this round of voting, polls open at 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 28. Readers will be asked to pick one cat in each head-to-head matchup.
You can still vote as many times as you would like, but you must vote for each matchup to submit your poll.
Polls will close at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, July 30. The next round of voting launches on Friday, July 31 at noon. Please note that from here on out, the voting windows will be shorter, so vote while you can!
