Northside Market cancels 2026 market in Des Moines

The Northside Market in Des Moines is now cancelled.

Members of the planning committee – The Little Book’s owner Bethany Fast and The Collective’s owner Jamie Nicolino – posted on the Northside Market Facebook page on June 6, announcing that they would no longer be able to continue planning and executing a successful market.

“Decisions like this are impossible to make, but at this time we both need to step back and focus on the future of our own businesses as there is much happening behind the scenes in our building,” they wrote in a post. “We ask for your understanding as this was an extremely difficult decision to come to on our ends and we are truly heartbroken over having to make it.”

Fast and Nicolino included a list of their vendors in the post and ask that patrons of the market find ways to directly support vendors instead.
