Clear Creek Amana boys basketball player Myles Howell and Iowa City Liberty girls wrestler Elyse Caviel were voted by readers as the Press-Citizen’s Athletes of the Week for Dec. 15-21.
Howell earned boys Athlete of the Week with 58% of the vote.
Howell had a big game in CCA’s 90-47 road win over Williamsburg on Dec. 19.
The junior tallied 16 points, six rebounds and three assists against the Raiders.
Caviel earned girls Athlete of the Week with 46% of the vote.
She earned first place for Liberty at the Cedar Rapids Kennedy Girls Invitational on Dec. 15.
The sophomore pinned all three of her opponents at 130 pounds.
