McKenna Woliczko trading cards to support UI Children's Hospital

As incoming Iowa women’s basketball forward McKenna Woliczko continues to introduce herself to the Hawkeyes community ahead of her freshman season in the fall, the prized five-star signee announced she will donate proceeds from the auction of one of her limited-edition Pilot24 trading cards to the Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

Pilot24, which has previously held public sales of sports memorabilia featuring several other Hawkeye athletes, currently has 10 special-edition McKenna Woliczko trading cards up for auction.

Of the 10 cards up for sale, Woliczko has chosen to donate 100% of the proceeds from Card No. 5 to the Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. This limited-edition rookie card is personally signed, with the swatch of material within the card cut directly from shorts worn by Woliczko during the 2024 FIBA U17 Women’s World Cup.

The 6-foot-2 native of San Bruno, Calif., is Iowa’s highest-ranked signee since Caitlin Clark in 2020, checking in as the nation’s No. 6 player, the No. 2 power forward, and the No. 2 player from California, per 247Sports. She is also Jan Jensen’s highest-ranked signee in her tenure as coach of the Hawkeyes.

For those interested in bidding, they can do so on Pilot24’s auction site. However, the auction for all 10 cards closes on Thursday, March 26, 2025, at 6 p.m. CT, so fans will need to act fast to submit their bids for the unique set of sports memorabilia.
