Iowa women’s basketball player Chit-Chat Wright was injured and left the Hawkeyes’ game against Baylor on Thursday in Orlando, Fla.
Wright was fouled as she attempted a shot early in the third quarter and landed hard on the court.
She was tended to by trainers for several minutes before standing up. Wright was then carried off the court by two Hawkeye staffers.
Wright, a transfer from Georgia Tech, is averaging 14.5 points per game.
Update: Wright did not return to the game. Iowa coach Jan Jensen told Hawkeye Radio after the game that Wright will not play in Saturday’s game against Miami.
