The Cyclones improved to 4-0 on the season after escaping with a 24-16 road win over Arkansas State.

Quarterback Rocco Becht threw for 265 yards and recorded two total touchdowns (one passing and one rushing) in the victory. Running back Carson Hansen surpassed the century mark on the ground, rushing for 116 yards. Meanwhile, Abu Sama added 69 rushing yards and punched in a touchdown.

The Cyclones now go on a bye week before returning to Big 12 play. Iowa State is 1-0 in conference play after taking down Kansas State in Dublin to open the season.
