How to watch Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever vs Dallas in WNBA season opener

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever will open the 2026 WNBA regular season by facing Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings on Saturday, May 9.

After missing 31 regular-season games and the team’s entire 2025 postseason run to the semifinals, Clark, a former Iowa women’s basketball star, is back to 100% for her third professional season.

Indiana has one development spot left, as it has already signed second-round pick Justine Pissott to a development player contract.

Players signed to development contracts are able to participate in all team practices and activities, including travel, and they can be activated for up to 12 games per season. Players can be elevated to the standard roster at any time, but they cannot be demoted to a development spot without first being waived.
