New courtside seating section coming to Carver-Hawkeye Arena

The university also announced that a new “courtside riser” is being installed on the south baseline of the arena, with a capacity of more than 200 people.

“Primarily designated for student seating, this platform will enhance the in-game atmosphere by bringing fans close to the court in addition to providing additional floor-level concession opportunities,” the news release said.

More information on these tickets will be sent out to current UI students in September.

The riser will affect some current season ticket holders for women’s basketball and men’s wrestling, and the university said it will “assist with relocations as needed during the renewal process.”
