After Caitlin Clark and company propelled Indiana (10-7) to a much-needed 86-77 win over the Phoenix Mercury (5-13) from Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Monday night, the Fever provided their day-before injury report for Wednesday’s rematch against the Mercury.
Although Clark came up one assist shy of her fifth double-double of the season during Monday’s win, she contributed 24 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the floor, 3-of-10 shooting from 3-point land, and 4-of-5 from the free-throw line to go along with nine assists and three rebounds in her 29 minutes of play.
According to the report, Caitlin Clark is the only name listed, with the former Hawkeye legend labeled as probable due to back soreness that she has been dealing with throughout this season.
If Clark is upgraded to available on Wednesday evening, it will mark the 13th straight game in which she has been listed as probable in the day-before injury report and upgraded to available.
So far this season, Clark is averaging a team-leading 21.3 points and 8.2 assists, alongside 4.3 rebounds per game on 42.6% field goal shooting, 33.1% from 3-point land, and 84.5% from the free-throw line in 16 games played.
The Fever and Mercury are scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. CT tip on Wednesday, and the game will be nationally broadcast on USA Network.
