Iowa basketball's Bennett Stirtz reveals intricacies of NBA Draft suit

As Iowa basketball’s Bennett Stirtz prepares to hear his name called at the 2026 NBA Draft tonight from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, the former Hawkeye revealed a few intricate details of his draft-night outfit.

Stirtz’s outfit is very simple: a tan suit and suit pants, complemented by a black tie over a button-up white shirt.

However, he revealed that his suit coat features logos from each of the schools he attended during his basketball journey, including Liberty High School, Northwest Missouri State, Drake, and Iowa.

“Alright, inside of this, you’ve got all my schools I’ve been to… Liberty High School, Northwest, Drake, Iowa,” Stirtz said while pointing to the inside of his suit jacket. “Each step of the way has been tremendous and key for me. I wouldn’t be here today without any of these schools, so every step of the way. It’s been just a huge part of who I am today, just the people I was with during these spots, so special inside for me.”

Other unique details of Stirtz’s outfit include his initials embroidered on the sleeve of his white button-up shirt and a golden No. 14 lapel pin representing the number he wore at each stop leading to tonight’s draft.
