Commentary on the proposed ‘Dakota Townes’

I was wondering when the vibrant, healthy, well-established, diverse ecosystem; home to many animals and plants would be scraped, paved and sodded into profitable real estate. It’s the only method I’ve seen employed living here for 34 years.

What a shame, but it was bound to happen. All good things must come to an end. I will miss it greatly as will the animals. Probably be done in the summer when they are raising their young. The majestic, towering oaks will make fine mulch. They will not survive – at that age they are very susceptible to damage – even driving over the roots/removing the leaves on the ground can kill them. That area is so beautiful and wild but it must be tamed and submit to the yoke of man to be useful.

Sure would be great if it could just be left alone – as a very minimalist park/sanctuary/even a single larger green home/events venue on the very western edge – instead of a priceless, irreplaceable treasure turned into some money in a digital account. The Lorax.
