Clive will celebrate the opening of a new green space on Friday.
City officials and community members will hold a ribbon cutting at 4:15 p.m. Friday, July 17 for Greenbelt Landing at 1801 N.W. 114th St. And the official opening of the almost 15-acre stretch of trails, water features, a playground and events spaces is kicking off this year’s Clive Festival, in its 50th anniversary.

Every new feature at Greenbelt Landing is accessible per the Americans with Disabilities Act, according to Brown.
The city broke ground on Greenbelt Landing in October 2024. The project cost just under $10.6 million, including about $6.9 million in city funds and $3.7 million in grants and donations, Brown said.
