The Iowa football team escaped with a 25-24 victory over Penn State on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium thanks to some clutch quarterback play by Mark Gronowski.
In the video above, Hawkeyes columnist Chad Leistikow offers up some instant analysis following the Big Ten Conference matchup.
Gronowski was not great through the air, but he was tremendous with his legs. Iowa overcame some costly mistakes to take down Penn State in a thriller.
The Hawkeyes improved to 5-2, 3-1 in the Big Ten. Penn State is 3-4, 0-4. It was the first time since 2021 that Iowa has beaten one of the traditional beasts of the Big Ten — Penn State, Ohio State and Michigan.
Iowa plays host to Minnesota on Oct. 25.
