Despite being invited to participate in the 2026 WNBA 3-point Contest, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark reportedly declined the opportunity, per ESPN’s Alexa Philippou.
Clark joins a list of others who politely declined invitations to the event, including New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu and Minnesota Lynx guard Kayla McBride.
The six participants in the 2026 WNBA 3-point Contest features Dallas Wings guard Azzi Fudd, Toronto Tempo guard Marina Mabrey, Atlanta Dream guard Rhyne Howard, Seattle Storm guard Natisha Hiedeman, Golden State Valkyries forward Janelle Salaun, and Portland Fire forward Bridget Carleton.
The 2026 WNBA 3-point Contest and the WNBA Shooting Stars event will take place on Friday, July 24 from Wintrust Arena in Chicago at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN.
Clark was named a WNBA All-Star Game starter and is on Team Spoon alongside fellow Fever star Aliyah Boston. The 2026 WNBA All-Star Game will be played on Saturday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. CT in Chicago at the United Center. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
