The Heisman Trophy will be awarded tonight. The award, which is given out to the top player in college football, features four finalists this year. Among them is Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love.
The other finalists are Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia and Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin.
The last Notre Dame Heisman Trophy winner was Tim Brown in 1987, and the last running back to win the Heisman is Derrick Henry, who won it in 2015. Henry is currently with the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens. Colorado defensive back and wide receiver Travis Hunter, now with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, won the trophy in 2024.
