The time has come again to vote for The Star Press East Central Indiana high school Athlete of the Week, brought to you by IU Health.
The reigning Athlete of the Week is Delta girls track athlete Shiloh Bunch. Bunch became a sectional champion in the 800-meter (2:24.18) and 1,600-meter (5:13.72) runs on Tuesday, May 19. She also helped Delta win the 4×400 (4:09.02) and the team sectional championship. Bunch received 4,926 out of 10,653 votes cast (46.24%).
This week’s poll brings us 10 more nominees who had standout performances during the week of Tuesday, May 26 to Tuesday, June 2. The schedule for this week’s poll has been altered in order to fit the top performers from baseball sectional championships and softball regionals. To submit nominees for future polls, please email names and any notable statistics or accomplishments to cbhampton@usatodayco.com.
The poll will remain open until Sunday, June 7, at noon. You may vote as many times as you’d like. Please vote using the poll found by scrolling to the bottom of this page — votes submitted via email will not be counted.
