The Fever practice facility will have a mural — and you get a say

The upcoming Indiana Fever practice facility is in the market for a mural to splash across the side of the building — and you (yes, you!) get to weigh in on the design.

The Fever, the Indy Arts Council and Pacers Sports and Entertainment are seeking community input on a mural to decorate the north wall of the future Indiana Fever Sports Performance Center. The survey, open now until June 14, offers three designs from Indiana artists depicting the city’s excitement for women’s basketball.

The public can choose their favorite mural design using this survey: surveymonkey.com/r/IFSPC. The survey asks participants to rate the success of the mural in different categories, such as how well it highlights downtown and celebrates the success of the Fever. The poll results will serve as feedback but will not directly determine the final design.

The mural will stand 40 feet tall on the wall of the Fever facility: a $78 million, 108,000-square-foot space under construction at the intersection of Maryland and Delaware streets. Recent renderings of the three-level structure feature dual practice courts, individual player spaces in the locker room, a full kitchen, a recovery suite with hydrotherapy pools and an infrared light therapy, a podcast studio and more.

The mural’s design selection committee narrowed the field to three artists — South Bend’s Alex Ann Allen, Indianapolis’ Siena Baldi and Fishers’ Koda Witsken — after receiving 65 submissions from a statewide call last December. The design will not depict Fever players or the Fever logo, but it will incorporate the Fever’s blue, red and gold color scheme and nod to women’s basketball in general.

The mural is slated to be painted this fall, with the facility’s opening date projected for spring 2027. Below are the final designs.

‘Dream Work Legacy’ by Alex Ann Allen

‘Centropy’ by Siena Baldi

‘Her Game’ by Koda Witsken
