Typically you don’t see recruiting insiders projecting for a team other than the one they are currently visiting, but that’s exactly what happened for Notre Dame and 2026 wide receiver Kaydon Finley.
The son of former NFL tight end Jermichael, a 6-foot and 200-pounder is currently on his official visit to see the Texas Longhorns, but that didn’t stop On3’s Max Torres (Thanks to Ryan Fravel for the news on social media) from putting in a prediction for the Irish to land Finley. This is the final scheduled visit before he makes his July 4th commitment, so his recruitment is looking like it’s trending positively to the Irish.
Notre Dame is coming off a week where it added three new commitments, offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh, cornerback Khary Adams and safety Joey O’Brien. There are two other current verbals at wide receiver, Bubba Frazier and Dylan Faison, and there are more than a few prospects still highly-considering joining the pair.
Obviously Finley, along with Devin Fitzgerald and Brayden Robinson, it very much looks like Notre Dame will be adding multiple more receivers to its 2026 recruiting class.
