Notre Dame football offers top-100 2027 defensive lineman on Sunday night

It’s not uncommon for Notre Dame to be offering a 2027 prospect since the 2026 class is virtually full, but what was a bit odd was the timing of the scholarship.

Typically you see players getting offered earlier in the day, but on Sunday night 2027 Texas defensive lineman Zane Rowe shared that the Irish have stepped up to the plate. At 6-foot, 4-inches and 255-pounds, he already has a college-ready frame and could continue to fill out.

Right now Rowe is ranked as the No. 85 overall prospect in the 2027 class by the 247Sports Composite, who already had over 35-offers made to him already including the likes of Georgia, Ohio State, Texas, Tennessee and plenty of others.

Rowe as committed to Oklahoma at one point, but in early January decided to open his recruitment back up. There is plenty of time for Notre Dame to make up on lost time, and if it is able to get him on campus, Rowe could end up wearing the Blue and Gold.
