MUNCIE, IN — A Muncie man has been accused of selling fentanyl to an informant for the Muncie-Delaware County Drug Task Force.
Deandre Lamont “Baby Dre” Ledsinger, 35, was arrested in a traffic stop on Monday, May 4, on suspicion of dealing in a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug, driving while suspended and possession of marijuana.
According to an affidavit, Ledsinger sold 1.6 grams of fentanyl near his Hodson Avenue home on Aug. 20.
When the Muncie man was arrested on Monday, task force investigators said they found marijuana and 13 Oxycodone pills in the Muncie man’s GMC Yukon.
While being interviewed at the Delaware County sheriff’s office, Ledsinger reportedly acknowledged the marijuana and pills belonged to him.
He also “denied involvement with the distribution of illegal narcotics,” the court document said.
Ledsinger was released from custody after posting a $28,500 bond.
Delaware County Prosecutor Eric Hoffman’s office will determine whether formal charges will be filed.
At the time of his latest arrest, Ledsinger already faced six charges in three cases pending in local courts: possession of a narcotic drug, obstruction of justice, domestic battery, resisting law enforcement, possession of marijuana and driving while suspended,
Court records indicate he has been convicted of crimes including dealing in cocaine, robbery, possession of cocaine, possession of a narcotic drug, resisting law enforcement, battery and check fraud.
