It was a perfect ending to the regular season just five days ago when senior pitcher Nijaree Canady capped off her regular season career with a perfect game. Canady faced the minimum 15 batters, striking out nine en route to the 8-0 victory. Jasmyn Burns gave the offense all it needed with her first-inning grand slam.
What the team did for head coach Gerry Glasco in the regular season is essentially irrelevant at the current time. The Lady Raiders shift focus to winning the tournament and preparing to finish what they started last season. The action begins at 1:30 p.m. CT, and you can watch it all on ESPN+.
