The 2026 IHSAA girls soccer season will feature a stacked junior class. To celebrate the start of the new season, the IndyStar has compiled the top juniors to watch on the pitch this year.
Players are listed in alphabetical order by last name. This list was compiled with input from local coaches.
Marcy Boyle, Bishop Chatard, MF
As a sophomore, Boyle led the Trojans in points (27) last season. She posted 10 goals and seven assists through 1,334 minutes of playing time. She also played in all 19 games.
Asha Gussick, Park Tudor, MF
Gussick earned the second most assists (14) for the Panthers last season. She also scored 12 goals, which was tied for third. She helped Park Tudor finish with a 15-6-3 record.
Macey Hamelmann, Zionsville, D
Hamelmann helped Zionsville finish the year 10-1-6 last season. She was a member of an Eagles defense that recorded 11 shutouts and allowed just seven goals. She chipped in a goal and assist in a team-high 560 minutes of play.
Chloe Henderzahs, Guerin Catholic, D
A two-year varsity starter, Henderzahs was the team’s star outside back last season. Offensively, she tallied three assists and two goals.
Lauren Joseph, Zionsville, M
Joseph registered 505 minutes of playing time last season. She recorded one assist in seven games as a sophomore.
Joslin Kershaw, Park Tudor, D/MF
Kershaw ranked 23rd in the sophomore class with 45 points last season. Her 21 assists led all sophomores. She hit 12 goals for a Panthers team that reached the Class 2A state title game.
Sydney May, HSE, F
May totaled the third most points (29) for HSE last season. She registered 11 goals and seven assists during her sophomore year. The Indiana commit was a member of the 22-0-1 Royals team that beat Carmel in the Class 3A state title game in 2025.
Skylar Mueller, HSE, F/MF
Mueller is a Colorado commit that will make her high school playing debut for HSE this season. She played full-time club ball over the last two years.
Shailoh Neu, Cathedral, MF
Neu scored the third most goals with seven for Cathedral last season. She also played in all 19 games and chipped in two assists for a Cathedral team that earned a 14-3-2 record.
Jordyn Rogers, Lawrence North, MF
Rogers scored the second most goals (22) for the Wildcats last season. She also posted four assists in 19 games.
Heidi Rohrbach, Covenant Christian, F/MF
Rohrbach was a catalyst in the Warriors’ 12-5 campaign last season. She scored 28 goals, which ranked eighth among all sophomores. She led Covenant Christian with 60 points, including four assists, in 15 games played.
Kathryn Simmons, Zionsville, D
Simmons was a member of Zionsville’s stout defense last season. She started and played in all of the team’s matches in 2025. As a midfielder and defender, she totaled four assists and three goals.
Veda Stahly, Lawrence North, MF
Stahly totaled 55 points last season, which ranked 16th among sophomores. She totaled 21 goals and 13 assists for the Wildcats. They finished 14-4-1 and reached the sectional semifinals.
Paige Stanoch, Lawrence North, GK
Stanoch played in 18 games as a sophomore last season. The Illinois commit recorded four goals and two assists. She also earned a shutout win as goalie.
