Indiana football announces kickoff time, TV networks for early season games

BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football announced a handful kickoff times Wednesday afternoon for the fall along with television network designations for its full non-conference schedule.

The Hoosiers will open the 2026 season on Sept. 5 with a game against North Texas at noon on Fox. They will remain in the time slot the following week when they host Howard for a matchup on Sept. 12 that will be broadcast on Big Ten Network.

Indiana’s final non-conference tuneup will be on Sept. 19 against Western Kentucky at 4 p.m. on Peacock, NBC’s streaming service. The Big Ten airs eight games a year on the platform as part of the television deal the conference signed with NBC back in 2022.

The reigning national champ’s first two Big Ten games will be in primetime.

Indiana announced an 8 p.m. kickoff time for its first road game of the season at SHI Stadium on Oct. 3 against Rutgers. It will be the program’s first trip out to Piscataway, New Jersey since a 24-17 loss to the Scarlet Knights in 2022.

The Hoosiers previously announced its Big Ten home opener against Northwestern for Friday, Sept. 25 would kickoff at 8 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
