Indiana basketball vs. Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf live updates: Score, highlights

BLOOMINGTON — Indiana basketball will take the floor at Assembly Hall on Wednesday night for a preseason exhibition game against Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf. The teams will tip off at 7 p.m. in a game being played under FIBA rules.

The new-look Hoosiers have been practicing all summer as they prepare for a trip to Peru to represent the United States in the FISU American Games.

IU 59, CA 36; 4:24 3rd Quarter: After checking into the game early in the third, Prince-Alexander Moody got a fastbreak dunk for his first points. He got a nice ovation from the crowd when he checked out after diving onto the floor for a steal. Trent Sisley got off to a strong start in the second half as well by getting to the line multiple times and converting a 3-point play. He had seven points in the first six minutes of the quarter.

IU 46, CA 32; 10:00 3rd Quarter: Indiana basketball heads into halftime up 14 points. Aiden Sherrell led the way with 14 points on 5 of 7 shooting and Markus Burton had nine points. Freshman Trevor Manhertz led all reserves with eight points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

IU 38, CA 26; 2:40 2nd Quarter: Aiden Sherrell showed off his range by knocking down back-to-back 3-pointers to give IU its biggest lead of the night, 36-24. He was active on both ends of the floor and took advantage of his size advantage with a three blocks in the first half.

IU 29, CA 24; 6:51 2nd Quarter: Trent Sisley showed off his improved strength by muscling his way up for a layup to put IU up 27-21 with 7:51 to go in the second quarter. Sisley gave the Hoosiers eight different players with at least one made field goal. Markus Burton went to the bench with 6:51 to go in the half after picking up his second foul.

IU 23, CA 19; 10:00 2nd Quarter: Indiana’s true freshmen each had a chance to shine at the end of the first quarter. Prince-Alexander Moody had steal in the backcourt that set up a lob for Vaughn Karvala. The next time down the floor, Trevor Manhertz knocked down a 3-pointer. Manhertz ended the quarter with five points, tied for a team-high with Darren Harris and Aiden Sherrell.

Coach Darian DeVries brought in Trent Sisley along with true freshman Prince-Alexander Moody and Trevor Manhertz off the bench midway through the quarter.

Indiana basketball plans on wearing Team USA jerseys in the exhibition on Wednesday night. The Hoosiers offered a sneak peek at their new threads in a video posted to social media. They have white and navy blue uniform combinations with the IU symbol printed on the front of the shorts.
