The weather service issued a special weather statement for southern Livingston and Washtenaw counties until 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Brighton, moving southeast at 40 mph.
Gusty winds “could knock down tree limbs,” the statement said.
A severe thunderstorm warning had been issued for northwest Oakland County and northeast Clinton County but that warning appears to have expired.
