The NFL has been counting down the top rushing plays of the 2025 season, and coming in at No. 1 was a play by Indianapolis Colts’ running back Jonathan Taylor.
This wasn’t Taylor’s first appearance on this list, but the play that was deemed the best run of the season came against Atlanta in Week 10.
The Colts were trailing the Falcons 16-17 with the game winding down in the fourth quarter. Facing a 2nd-and-2 backed up inside their own 20-yard line with just over six minutes left in the game, Daniel Jones handed the ball off to Taylor.
Taylor ran up the middle into a pile of Colts and Falcons players. When it looked like he had been stopped for a few yards, he all of a sudden popped out on the left side of the line and turned upfield.
He then outran a Falcons defender to the sideline, and with Alec Pierce and Tyler Warren leading him down the field, Taylor found the end zone to give the Colts the lead.
When it was all said and done, that was officially an 83-yard carry for Taylor.
He ended up having a huge day overall against the Falcons, totaling 244 rushing yards at a whopping 7.6 yards per carry with three touchdowns.
The Colts eventually won the game in overtime, 31-25.
