The 2025 IHSAA boys wrestling season has begun! IndyStar is providing you with an opportunity to honor the top wrestlers in Central Indiana with our latest fan poll! Vote in the poll at the bottom of the article for who you believe will be crowned wrestler of the year when the season is all said and done!
The poll will close Tuesday at noon!
Kellen Fellure, Franklin
Fellure is a beast at 215. In just his second year on varsity, Fellure finished sixth in his weight class at state last season. The junior has 73-16 career record. Fellure is a force to be reckoned with and, barring no injuries, should have another spectacular season ahead of him.
Peyton Schoettle, Roncalli
Schoettle has only lost three times since his sophomore year. The senior’s only defeat last season came in the 113-bout state final. Schoettle is back with a vengeance this year, but this time, he’ll look to capture a state championship at 120.
Michael White, Lawrence North
White has already carried the momentum from last season into this one after advancing to the state final at 190. The Lawrence North senior became the first high school wrestler from Indiana to win the Ironman and defeated three of the nation’s best wrestlers en route to making history in early December. The Oklahoma State University commit is the No. 1-ranked wrestler in the country at 190.
Daniel Brown Jr., Center Grove
Brown advanced to the state final at 106 last season. The sophomore is ranked fourth at 113 in Indiana this season. Brown went 35-8 as a freshman. Brown helped the Trojans finish second at state earlier this year.
Kellen Schoeff, Plainfield
The sophomore already defeated five top-25 wrestlers at 113 this year. Schoeff is ranked second in the state at 113 and should make a deep state tournament run this season, barring no injuries.
Traevon Ducking, Brownsburg
Ducking is ranked No. 1 at 113 in Indiana and 18th in the nation. The sophomore won state at 106 earlier this year. Behind Ducking’s dominance, Brownsburg captured the state title last season.
Royce Malone, Center Grove
At state earlier this year, the Trojan junior finished seventh at 120. He placed third in 2024 at 106. Now, Malone is wrestling at 132 and is ready to make another state tournament run at a different weight.
Connor Maddox, Westfield
Maddox also made history at the Ironman, becoming champion at 106 and joining White as the only two winners from Indiana. Maddox is ranked sixth in the nation in his weight class and first in Indiana. The sophomore finished fourth at state last season. Maddox finished the 2024-2025 campaign 40-3.
Blake Getz, Roncalli
Getz is ranked first in the state at 126. The senior finished fifth at 120 at state last season. Getz is 104-20 in his career and is a two-time regional and sectional champion.
Waylon Cressell, Warren Central
Cressell hopes to repeat as a state champion at 175 this season. The senior is committed to the University of Northern Iowa. Cressell is the third-ranked wrestler in the nation at 175.
Kyle Harden, Cathedral
Harden is a threat to any competitor at 190. A semifinalist at state last year, Harden is poised for another great season. The senior has advanced to the state final each year of his varsity career, placing sixth at 170 in 2023 and seventh at 175 as a sophomore.
Parker Reynolds, Brownsburg
The Purdue University commit won the state championship at 150 last season. Reynolds looks to do the same while competing at 157 this year, in which he’s ranked 18th in the country. The senior is ranked fifth in the state at 157.
Nathan Rioux, Avon
Rioux won the state championship at 126 last season, helping Avon capture fourth place as a team. Rioux is ranked 14th in the country at 132 this year. Rioux will wrestle at Purdue next fall.
William Glesing, New Palestine
Glesing finished eighth at state earlier this year at 285. The junior won a regional championship last season. Glesing is ranked second in the state in his weight class.
