Free option for getting the kids out of the house might be right up your alley

Between summer movies, stocking the fridge and entry fees at pools and other attractions, keeping kids entertained in the summer can wipe out your bank account.

One option to fill an afternoon without running out of cash is the annual Kids Bowl Free summer program.

Shoe rental may be included with free games, according to kidsbowlfree.com, but it varies by location, so check with the spot where you plan to bowl. Here’s how the program works and which area sites are included.

How to sign up for free bowling

Visit kidsbowlfree.com and find a participating bowling center. Select it and follow the instructions to register your kids for two free games a day. The times you can use the deal might vary by location.
