Only one Monroe County road will be closed this week, beginning Monday, April 27, but area residents may have other detours in the coming months, with advance notice of four more road closures, one from June 1 through Oct. 14.
Road closure
Old Ind. 37 North between Bryants Creek and Farr roads will be closed 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, April 27, through Friday, May 1, for culvert replacements.
Advance notice for upcoming road closures
Thacker Road from Dead End to Snow Road will be closed 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, May 11, and Tuesday, May 12, for paving.
Popcorn Road from Linthicum Road to Ray Moore Road will be closed 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, for paving.
Snow Road from Ray Moore Road to Rockeast Road will be closed 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, May 14, and Friday, May 15, for paving.
Rockport Road between Cockrell Road and Bolin Lane will be closed June 1 through Oct. 14 for bridge removal and replacement. A detour will be in place from West Tramway Road, turning northbound on South Victor Pike and reconnecting via West That Road.

Rockport Road between Cockrell Road and Bolin Lane continues to have lane restrictions with traffic control 7 a.m.-6 p.m. now through June 1 for utility relocations.
Cherry Lane between Fairfax Road and Dutcherman Drive will have lane restrictions with traffic control 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, April 27.
Tunnel Road between Robinson Road and Southshore Drive will have lane restrictions with traffic control 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, April 27, through Wednesday, April 29.
Smith Road between Larry Wayne Drive and Moores Pike will have lane restrictions with traffic control 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, April 28.
Paynetown Road between Handy Road and end of county maintenance will have lane restrictions with traffic control 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, through Friday, May 1.
Shaw Road between Watson Drive and Monroe Medical Park Boulevard will have lane restrictions with traffic control 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, April 29.
San Juan Drive between Rogers Street and end of county maintenance will have lane restrictions with traffic control 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, April 30.
Cortland Drive between Cider and Winesap courts will have lane restrictions with traffic control 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, May 1.
Monroe County reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. All closings are weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
