Conor Daly is searching for a full-time IndyCar ride in 2027, but in the meantime, he’ll return to a race car this summer. Daly will drive for Kaulig Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Indianapolis Raceway Park on July 24.
Daly, who finished 12th in the Indianapolis 500 with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, will pilot the No. 25 Ram, for which Kaulig finds a different driver for each race. Kaulig made its NASCAR debut in the Xfinity Series in 2016 before becoming a Cup Series team in 2020. The team is in its first season in the Truck Series.
Kaulig announced Daly will be in the seat via an online skit where Daly visits the Indianapolis Tide Cleaners location, where he retrieved his suit for the Indy 500 Victory Celebration on Monday. Instead of getting a dress suit in the video, Daly picked up his Kaulig firesuit.
The race will be Daly’s sixth Truck race of his career. Daly, who also drove in the 2023 Daytona 500, last raced a truck for Niece Motorsports in 2024.
