A toddler has died after after being shot outside a pharmacy, according to Indianapolis police. IMPD officers were called shortly before 3 p.m. June 19. When they arrived at the scene — the parking lot of a CVS at 46th and Keystone streets — officers found a young boy shot. They believe it happened inside a car. The child was treated on scene before being taken to Riley Children’s Hospital. He was later pronounced dead, IMPD reported.
Authorities say they believe the shooting was accidental.”Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident and all involved parties are accounted for,” IMPD said in a release.
Police have released no further information.
