Officers found “a loaded Springfield XD Mod 4 9mm semi-automatic handgun in a holster just east of a barbed wire fence in the wooded area under a gray t-shirt,” according to Cressy, adding that officers also found the items of clothing that Willis had removed.

The St. Joseph County Police Department arrested Willis on the suspicion of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, as The Tribune previously reported.

The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s office suggested to the St. Joseph Superior Court that Willis be held until his bail hearing as, “The Defendant is a substantial danger to self, others or the community.”
