Drum Corps International has its new World Champion – and this year, the sound of victory is a resounding “blooooo.”
The Bluecoats emerged victorious at Lucas Oil Stadium, beating out 12 remaining corps that made the cut after semi-final competition Aug. 7. The Canton, Ohio-based corps received a score of 99.100 and swept the general effect, visual and music categories en route to the win.
The 2026 win is the Bluecoats’ third in corps history, adding to championships in 2016 and 2024. The Bluecoats went undefeated this season at national competitions with the program “Gravity and Grace.”
Concord, California’s Blue Devils, the winningest corps in DCI history with 21 World Championships, finished second. Carolina Crown finished third, and the Boston Crusaders, last year’s winners, finished fourth.
