The weekend brings the Knox County Wedding Expo and a jigsaw puzzle competition, along with fundraisers, live music and more to the Galesburg area.
The Living Daylights Live
What: Get your dancing shoes and windbreakers ready as The Living Daylights make their debut performing here.
When: 8 p.m. Jan. 9
Where: Knights of Columbus Hall, 1556 E. Fremont St., Galesburg
Jigsaw Puzzle Competition
What: Sign up your team of 2-6 participants age 12 and older to compete. Ten teams will compete to see who can complete a 500-piece puzzle the fastest. The winning team will receive a prize.
When: 2-4 p.m. Jan. 10
Where: Galesburg Public Library, 264 W. Main St., Galesburg
Indoor Mobile Playground
What: There will be a variety of toys and activities to challenge and entertain children and adults. Each week a large game (inflatable game or obstacle course) or fun guests/special activities will be scheduled. Pre-registration is encouraged, but drop-ins are allowed, as space permits. Please register each person individually. All ages are welcome. Children age 6 and younger must be directly supervised. Adults can stay in the play court area or walk around the tennis courts while their children play if direct supervision is not required. Adults must stay in the facility while minors are playing.
When: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Jan. 10
Where: Lakeside Recreation Facility, 1033 S. Lake Storey Road, Galesburg
Cost: $5 for ages 3-12; free for age 2 and younger
Bingo and Brunch
What: Play free rounds of Bingo for prizes. There will be charcuterie boxes and mimosas for purchase to enjoy while you relax and play. Bingo cards and markers are provided; no daubers are needed.
When: 12:30-4:30 p.m. Jan. 11
Where: Hidden Hills Vineyard and Winery, 120 Hidden Drive, Knoxville

Knox County Wedding Expo
What: Get ready to celebrate your journey to “I do” the annual Wedding Expo: Off the Market! Find everything you need to plan the wedding of your dreams all under one roof. Meet the area’s top wedding professionals, from photographers and florists to venues and designers. See the latest trends, displays and fashion shows. Many vendors will be offering special “Expo Only” discounts. There will be some giveaways, samples and refreshments.
When: 11 a.m. Jan. 11
Where: The Vault at Reserve Artisan Ales, 185 S. Kellogg St., Galesburg

What: This program for preschool-age children (2 to 5 years old) is held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. A book will be read at 10:30 a.m. This weekly preschool program promotes early literacy, fine motor and math skills.

Adult Ag in the Classroom
What: Come hungry and leave with stress-busting tips to avoid a full-blown burrito of chaos. Led by Adrienne DeSutter, M.S. Ed, Ag Mental Health Specialist, of Sow How Grow Hope. Enjoy some laughs, sanity-saving stories and a taco bar. Please RSVP.

Drop-In Tennis
What: Enjoy drop-in tennis on the four indoor courts on Tuesdays or Thursdays. All levels of players are welcome. No pre-registration is required.

Jazz Night
What: Join in a 30+ year Galesburg tradition and come hear the Knox Cherry Street Combo on Thursdays. All ages are welcome.

Ladies Night
