BEAVER DAM – A man was shot early Saturday, May 30, in Beaver Dam and taken to a Madison hospital, according to police.
Beaver Dam police said officers were called about 12:53 a.m. Saturday to the 300 block of North Spring Street for a report of a shooting.
Officers gave the victim emergency first aid until Beaver Dam Fire Department personnel arrived.
The man was taken to Marshfield Medical Center and later flown to UW Hospital in Madison. Police said he was in serious but stable condition.
Witnesses told investigators the suspect was last seen running from the scene. Police said the area was secured and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The shooting remains under investigation.
The Beaver Dam Police Department was assisted by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Beaver Dam Fire and EMS.
