77-year-old killed in motorcycle crash in Poygan after losing control during turn

A 77-year-old man from the Town of Poygan was killed in a motorcycle crash June 22 after losing control during a turn, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office said.

The motorcyclist was heading west County Road D and was trying to turn right onto Town Hall Road in Poygan, the sheriff’s office said in a statement. Sheriff’s deputies responded about 2:40 p.m. to a report of the overturned motorcycle in a field, which was spotted by a passerby.

The sheriff’s office didn’t release the name of the individual and said the incident remains under investigation.
