The Boone County Arts Council is about to launch its 2026 season of Concerts in the Park.
Here are the artists performing this year.
June 7: Mariachi Lira de Rockford brings the tradition of Mariachi music to the Baltic Mill Stage in Belvidere Park, 911 W. Lincoln Avenue. There will be a food truck on hand. Rain site is the Community Building, 111 W. First Street, Belvidere.
June 14: The Vince Chiarelli Band will bring a unique mix of Italian favorites, as well as Bossa Nova and some flamenco rhythms. There will be a food truck available by the Baltic Mill. Rain site is the Community Building.
June 21: The Sensations will perform their unique take on the songs of the 60’s to the present on the Baltic Mill Stage. There will be a food truck by the Baltic Mill. The Community Building is the rain site.
June 27: The Silver Creek Band performs at this Saturday evening concert at 7:00 PM before the Belvidere Heritage Days fireworks. They present favorite current country music as well as traditional country to bluegrass. The concert will be held at the Boone County Fairgrounds, 8791 Route 76, Belvidere. There will be food available for purchase. The rain date will be the next night at the same place.
July 5: The Rockford Wind Ensemble will present a concert celebrating our nation’s 250th Anniversary. We return to the Baltic Mill Stage for this concert. There will be a food truck by the Baltic Mill. The Community Building is the rain site.
July 12: Dan Holmes and Dave Walters will bring the music of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel to the Baltic Mill Stage. The will be a food truck available. The rain site is the Community Building.
July 19: Emily Hurd and Gregg Ostrum will perform some soul, folk, blues, and rock at the Vintage Wings and Wheels Museum at 5150 Orth Road, Poplar Grove. There will be food trucks on site. The rain location will be the museum.
July 26: The Rocksurfers will bring their classic rock, surf tunes, blues, and a little countryto the Candlewick Lake Recreation Center, 13400 Hwy 76 in Poplar Grove. There will be food trucks on site. This will be the last concert of the season. The rain site will be the Community Building, 111 W. First Street in Belvidere.
About Summer Concerts in the Park
Unless otherwise noted, the concerts will take place at 6:30 p.m. Sunday evenings except for June 27.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the show.
