Will Freeman will be playing college football.
The Washington senior announced on social media his commitment to Bucknell, a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) program based in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Freeman also held another offer from Valparaiso.
“After some sleepless nights and long talks with God,” Freeman posted, “I am blessed to announce my commitment to the Bucknell University to play Running Back.”
During his senior season, the 6-foot, 200-pound running back rushed for 1,475 yards with 21 TDs, while recording 72 total tackles and 4.0 for loss, 3.0 sacks, one fumble recovery and an interception as a linebacker. Freeman earned Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Class 5A first-team all-state, all-Mid-Illini Conference first team and Journal Star all-area first-team honors.
Bucknell finished 5-7 overall and 2-5 in Patriot League play during the 2025 season. The Bison will open its 2026 campaign on the road at Patriot League foe Richmond on Aug. 29.
